"Sarah was thorough and a pleasure to work with. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her!"
– Linda Shantz, author of Good Things Come
"Sarah provided proofreading and copyediting services for my 40,000-word novella. She completed her work quickly and diligently, along with communicating well throughout the whole process. The result was detailed and well-documented. She even found continuity issues in the story-line, which was well-appreciated. I would happily use her services again."
– Saverio Rinaldi, ON

Editing is more than correcting typos and grammar. It elevates your story to another level.

Hi, there!
I'm Sarah.

I am a proofreader and copyeditor who specializes in working with fantasy fiction writers. I'll help you prepare your book for the world to read.

You create worlds in fantasy or YA. That means your novel is with an editor you can trust, that understands you and your writing.

I'll help you refine your narrative by ensuring the clarity, consistency, and flow. That way you can focus on the best part: telling the story.

Your story is your legacy—tell it flawlessly.

Proofreading

Proofreading is a surface-level check, and usually the last step in editing. What I do during a proofread:

  • Look for errors in spelling, grammar, and punctuation

  • Correct obvious errors in facts and ensure their consistency

  • Ensure consistency within the design and layout

  • Ensure the style guide has been followed

  • Ensure your manuscript looks as perfect as can be

Copyediting

Copyediting is a deeper approach to content that goes beyond a surface check. What I do during a copy edit:

  • Look for errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting

  • Develop a style guide for consistency, and for the proofreader to follow

  • Research facts, names, numbers, and dates

  • Maintain structure and flow of sentences
